About
A coalition for migrant workers
Founded in 2009, the African Diaspora Workers Network is a coalition of migrant-rights organisations dedicated to advancing the rights of migrant workers in South Africa. We work with refugees, asylum seekers and migrant workers in domestic work, agriculture, security, hospitality and the informal sector.
Alongside local unions and progressive worker pressure groups, we deliver education and awareness campaigns, capacity-building and psychosocial support, and we advocate on xenophobia, social cohesion, social service provision, gender-based violence, peace and security.
